Why Mixed Media?
I have always been drawn to putting creations in a new light. Recreating an experience for something that originally had a different purpose. Similar to Marcel Duchamp's take on Dadaism, I believe to a certain extent of taking something we see or use on a daily experience and completely changing the representation of it. I felt that graphic design was becoming too consistent. Too many basic niches and something that felt repetitive. In no way am I disregarding the shear talent of designers, but in order to grow in the field of graphic design it is crucial to utilize the skillsets we learn outside of a computer, because without technology, how would you create these digital experiences? Experimentation.
